Moth Traps and Bacon baps

It’s our great pleasure to welcome David Brown to Clifford village hall on the morning of Saturday 8th August for our ‘Moth traps and bacon baps’ event. David last visited 7 years ago and introduced us to over 60 moth species with great names such as the Cream Bordered Green Pea, the Bloodvein, the Burnished Brass, the Dark Spectacle, the Orange Footman and the Figure of 80. Unlike butterflies, these moths are rarely seen but just as beautiful.
David has just published his second book on Warwickshire moths and is a National not just a local expert. We are privileged to have some of his time.
Join us for breakfast from 9.30am and David will reveal his ‘catch’ from 4 light traps placed around the village the night before.
