The climate and nature crises must be tackled together.  Warwickshire Wildlife Trust makes this very clear:

Stratford Climate Action is a campaigning community group in Stratford-upon-Avon, affiliated to Friends of the Earth.  We raise awareness & organise action in response to the climate emergency. In 2021 Stratford Climate Action gave rise to Net Zero Stratford CIC, a community interest company now managing a Climate Hub at 30 Meer Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QB, together with various local projects, including the co-ordination of Great Big Green Week each year.  Both SCA and Net Zero Stratford are keen to support initiatives to protect nature and promote natural solutions to the climate crisis.

Please pop into Stratford Climate Hub at 30 Meer Street!  We are open to the public on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am until 4pm, unless it’s the first Saturday of the month, when you can find us at the Stratford Repair Café held at Stratford Methodist Church in Old Town, CV37 6BG, from 10am until 2pm.

Nature Campaigns in 2026

We are currently campaigning for the protection of swifts in our local area.  We also have volunteers working alongside SafeAvon and Surfers Against Sewage to carry out regular testing of river water and analyse the results. We campaign for cleaner rivers and cleaner air.

We hold monthly Green Book Talks at the Climate Hub when one of our supporters tells us about a book they have read recently and discusses relevant issues.  There’s no need to have read the book yourself, just come along!

If you want to know more about volunteering during Stratford District Great Big Green Week 2026, taking place between 6th June and 14th June, please email: janet@netzerostratford.org.uk
