DESCRIPTION:Event by Sun Rising Natural Burial Ground and Nature Reserve \nOur annual Open Day is a great opportunity to explore what we offer here at Sun Rising.  You can meet staff and trustees\, talk through ideas and requirements\, and take a tour of the natural burial ground and/or nature reserve with one of our team or by yourselves. \nThere’ll be refreshments all day\, in aid of The Friends of Sun Rising.  We’ll have a nature table for those who would like to know more about the nature reserve and information about our gorgeous wildflowers too.   Our local willow coffin maker\, Caz from Wild Heart Coffins\, will be lending us a coffin\, and we’ll have a beautifully elegant and simple card coffin too.  There’ll also be English flowers from Tysoe village florist\, Hope and Glory. \nThere’s no need to book for this event.  All are welcome. \nWhat3words:\nSouth Entrance /// forget.brambles.debt\nNorth Entrance ///overcomes.store.muddle

DESCRIPTION:JOIN OUR TYSOE MURMURATION . . .\nThe idea is to bring our various nature and wildlife interests together under one big roof to discuss plans for the year ahead. That way we can keep the focus on nature and encourage more people to get involved. Our aim is to celebrate and value the wildlife that surrounds us. Simple\, everyday wildlife.\nWe hope that together we can develop our own Tysoe Almanac – a series of wildlife events\, talks\, activities and projects which take place throughout the year focused on wildlife\, whether that’s:\n\n\n\nTaking part in the Big Garden Birdwatch\nMaking and putting up bird boxes\nListening to the dawn chorus at the Natural Burial Ground\nSupporting No Mow May\nFilling in gaps in hedgerows\nPlanting for pollinators and bats\nCutting openings in garden fences for hedgehogs to pass through\nStaging a BioBlitz to find plants\, animals and fungi\, etc at the Community Orchard\nHolding wildlife workshops for children in the summer holidays . .\n\n\n\nThere’s a whole host of things that we can all do to make space for wildlife. You may have some suggestions of your own which you would like to share.\n\n\nOur aim is the same as the illustrator Jackie Morris states in The Lost Words\, “created as a hope\, to re-engage an interest\, to refocus the mind’s eye\, to celebrate the nearby wild and awaken a sense of wonder and awe for the amazing planet we live on.”\n\n\nPLEASE MAKE A NOTE IN YOUR DIARIES AND COME JOIN US!
