SUMMARY:Tysoe's Photography Competition 2026
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe theme is Wild Warwickshire and photographs submitted must be taken in Warwickshire since 2024. \nWe are seeking photographs of flora and fauna in the wild\, including plants\, fungi\, wild mammals\, birds\, insects and so on; images of pets\, farm animals or animals in captivity are not eligible. Images featuring people will not be considered. \nThe images selected will be used to make a calendar for 2027.  This calendar will go on sale at the end of 2026 with proceeds used to support wildlife projects in the Parish of Tysoe. \nThe Entry Conditions set out here should be read and the Entry Form below completed.  Completed forms should be returned to tysoewildlife@gmail.com \n

SUMMARY:Moth Traps and Bacon baps
DESCRIPTION:It’s our great pleasure to welcome David Brown to Clifford village hall on the morning of Saturday 8th August for our ‘Moth traps and bacon baps’ event. David last visited 7 years ago and introduced us to over 60 moth species with great names such as the Cream Bordered Green Pea\, the Bloodvein\, the Burnished Brass\, the Dark Spectacle\, the Orange Footman and the Figure of 80. Unlike butterflies\, these moths are rarely seen but just as beautiful. \nDavid has just published his second book on Warwickshire moths and is a National not just a local expert. We are privileged to have some of his time. \nJoin us for breakfast from 9.30am and David will reveal his ‘catch’ from 4 light traps placed around the village the night before. \nThe event is free to attend\, sponsored by Clifford Chambers Charities. As there is a practical limit on numbers please RSVP.
